. Yesterday, I'm sitting on the sofa watching TV and my wife looks over and says, "BTW - happy late anniversary". I'm like - ok. It's not our wedding anniversary, its not the day we bought our house, and nothing else comes to mind.. Darn. I cannot remember... Am I in deep "doo doo" again? After a few minutes of silence, I gave up and asked what anniversary. My wife looks over, smiles and says - do you remember Dec 4 2006 - "the day you stopped smoking?". Wow. Hard to believe it's been 7 years since I stopped smoking. And, my wife still remembers that date in our lives...
If you stopped smoking, remember to include "your quit" date in your anniversary celebrations as well....

Spike: Congratulations on such a wonderful anniversary! Unofortunately I cannot remember my quit day, only the year (1989). It is funny because I set the date and practices being a non-smoker for three months in advance, using one of those behaviour-modification programs. It worked, anyway, even though I didn't do it exactly as prescribed.
I loved the story. You should be so proud - and what a supportive spouse!
