I found it interesting that every once and a while factual newpaper articles get published about COPD. So often it is overlooked and shunned as the smokers disease.

Very good article and I do believe that Family Drs. don't know much about this disease. I was having problems I thought with my spiriva...when I mentioned this to my Dr. she said well quit taking it. I said I should have something to replace it and went right over her head...So if I have any more problems I will ask to see a respirologist.

stoker.....thanks for the article......I think when people and the medical profession stops looking at it as just a smoker's disease, there might be more progress made. A long time friend of mine was diagnosed with COPD, and he doesn't even smoke. He does have a lot of allergies though, as well as Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Acid Reflux Disease.
