I purchased my from 1st Class Medical. They were about half the price I could get one locally here in BC. They do ship to Canada. I had mine shipped to US address and went and picked it up to save customs charges etc. Here is their Website shop.1stclassmed.com/portable-oxygen-concentratorsThe person I dealt with was Aubrey Shelton, 1-888-370-0599 They were professional, helpful and shipped right when/how they said they would. They will need a copy of a prescription from your doctor, they have to have it to sell the unit. I verified with CBSA and your are allowed to import the devices and they are exempt from duty and GST as a medical device, here is the relevant Excise act reference laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/E-15/page-329.html#h-161 Hope this Helps

Well I qualified for oxygen therapy. I have a concentrator for home and also a portable concentrator . I have an air sep focus model . Very lightweight less than 2 pounds. It has only a setting of 2. Which is perfect for me. I have 2 batteries , each give me 1/12 hour plus I have an air belt which I can use for an additional 3 hours Hope everyone is great.

I am glad you found one to suit your needs. So you were able to get them covered by your medical?

Yes I qualified .had to go get tested at hospital. Exertion test and arterial blood gas test . My. Arterial blood gas test was too high to qualify but the test for exertion Clearly indicated that I need oxygen when exerting myself . Now they will test me again at a later date to see how everything is and if I can still qualify. Since I am 64. The Ontario government pays 75% Of the cost , Good. thing I have supplementary insurance that pays 80% of the balance. I a so very grateful that I Have oxygen now. Great now I can exercise more and do so much more.

That is good news, Lorraine. I to have oxygen at night and portable for when I exert myself. It feels good to know I will live longer now. It does make a difference.

Hi David. Yes I am happy. My home concentrator is used especially going up the stairs to do wash etc. we have 14 stairs and this is where I was running out of steam especially on laundry day. We live in a raised bungalow, all the bedrooms are on main floor but just the laundry room and family room downstairs. The oxygen concentrator with 50 ft of tubing does the job . Also some days depending on the housework I do it is very helpful.

I am lucky. I live in a 2 bedroom Villa that is all flat. Matter of fact Florida is flat
I have trouble walking 50 yards so I need the oxygen.
