. Turning a New Year and a keeping with tradition, what is your New Year Resolutions / Goals?
For me (in no specific order): - Loose my extra 20-25 lbs (ok - this one might be a far off dream). - Continue to apply renovations / upgrades at my cottage. - Start renovations at home (re: new roof, flooring, furnace). - Try to visit my son's new home (at his far away place). - Try to stay on this side of our physical earth. - Continue to "chip away" at the other things on my bucket list.
What is your goals for 2019? Just wondering....

Nothing. If you live in hope, you often die in despair. I'll just continue to plod along slowly and take one day at a time.

For me, I always live for hope. Hope for a better day tomorrow, hope I will "chip away" at my bucket list and when possible, try to make a better life for myself (in places that I can). My body may be broken but my spirit continues to make plans - to help make a better future life....
For example... My cottage contains some "branch circuit" aluminum wiring on its main floor. Luckily, it also has outer wall wiring - which is very easy to access. Each cottage visit, I remove the old technology aluminum wiring to one outlet box and replace with new technology 14-2 copper wire. Then, cover the new wire run with plastic CableMate II covering. I might get 1 outlet completed in 2 days or I might only be able to remove it one visit, and install new copper wiring at that single outlet during another cottage visit. Yes. Slow and steady but at end of the year, all non-standard outlets, light switches and overhead lights will be converted to new standard copper wiring. And if/where I need physical help, my wife helps me as well. Slow and steady wins the race - just like the new skirting upgrades around Jim's house...
Hopefully, you guys have the ability to "chip away" at your bucket list and eventually accomplish your yearly goals as well.

I always have goals. One of them was to finish my she-Shed, and its almost done. Mostly decorating now, such fun, I just love it. When completely done I'll put up pics.
Another thing is getting to church more than I do. Keep praying for everyone, and doing my rosery beads. Looking into maybe a trip somewhere, not far I don't think, but as far as we can drive. I have many. I hope I can accomplish at least a few! Take care, Love,Gail

Gail: I would love to see pictures of your she-cave. Can you have current pictures posted soon. No worries, your cave doesn't need to be perfect. Perfection comes in time... thanks.

To have a few nervous breakdown, say 4 days a month, no responsibility, just rest. Few boring goals as well. I made some decisions but that is not a goalπ

Jade - do you want to share some of your decisions? You sound down....hope some of these decisions will ease your 4 days of breakdown.
NY goals?? Never really had anything specific except to declutter papers which is so time consuming. Now I have two year's worth before trashing and make pile to shred. I really want to start a needlepoint project of my own design but things just seem to be getting in the way!

Jade - "Rational explanations seldom ease feelings." But we ARE entitled to our feelings...just hard to express and find someone who truly listens. I am beginning to sound like a broken record......a common malady for we orphan elders.

Skate, I'm here to listen. Anyone wants to have conversations lets talk in another section? Not the anything area bc its also open to public, but maybe we can have a support area for those who r depressed, hurt from others, children, animals anything perhaps personal. Just a thought, sometimes just talking about aches and pains helps a lot to get it all out. I trust y'all and hope u trust me. βΊ

My goal is to try and get out more. I find I have allowed myself to stay at home isolated too much.
