N.p. I am very intrested in other's ailments as well, and if I don't know what it is I then look it up and read about it so that I will know. That's not a good thing to have I feel bad tell Brenda big hugs and kisses.

 all Sorry to hear Jim your wife has polymyalgia....I have been battling it for 4 years and on prednisone that long....Very very painful....Trying now to reduce my prednisone, down to 8 mgs a day...Takes a long time to get over this disease if you ever do....Last time I reduced somewhat lower and the pain was terrible...Could not even punch the controls on my Microwave...At 82 years old I'd sooner be pain free then reduce to the point where I'm in pain again.

I really feel for you Barb, as know what Brenda is going through. When Brenda got below 10mgs a day the pain came back, she is now taking Tramadol. She quit the prednisone because it made her shake too much and made her eyesight worse. She asked me to asked you if the prednisone had the same effect on you. She is still waiting for the results of the x-rays of her neck and back, to get from the hospital to her local doctor. |

No Jim prednisone has been good for me but I definitely want off of it as I'm one big bruise....Another couple of weeks and I'll be in touch with Dr. and see if I can reduce a bit more.... The joys of old age....I laugh every senior you talk to say they are so sick of running to Drs......  . |

Barb and Jim, Barb I feel so bad for you! My mom has is going to be 84 with Lupus and many other issues like me. But my mom still drives, "not at night" but I know my mom and she sneaks . She has so much pain like us , she gets shots in her joints poor mom. Poor Barb! I hope you can get off nasty preds. They are what saves my life right now it's the only thing that takes out all the inflammation.. But my dose is when in hospital over 1,000 mg. Oh and they do make me feel so hungry .. |
