I've not posted much in a while, been busy with things at home. Doug started rehab in Hamilton last week and tomorrow will be his 2nd full week in-hospital. So, I've been running back and forth (45 min. one way) during the week, picking him up on Fri. and taking him back on Sun. evening. Also, my son and family was up visiting for 5 days so that definitely kept me busy, especially my adorable 15 month old grandson...:-)
Doug had an appt. with a social worker today at rehab and asked if I would be able to come in and maybe some other caregivers, for some sharing and chatting. The gal said she'd love to see that happen and would try and set it up. This is a remarkable step for this area as it will be the first type of support I've found. We need more of that in Canada (and probably the U.S., too). Has any other caregiver had access to any type of support? I'm curious to know as it looks like we'll have to be the pioneers in this!

Great news. I would say like Cheryl you forgot to sign in and in the case it will show up guest. I stayed signed in forever. And delete my cookies one at a time and keep the ones where I go all the time then I don't have to sign in on all the boards. I am so happy for you and Doug that is a mile stone for any country and I know what that will mean to you both. Hang in there Mary. All will work out.
