Things are quiet on the home front.. hubby finished his anti's and is on the mend. I am finding the time a bit long combined with not sleeping all that well. I keep thinking of home and hoping all is well there. I wonder if anyone would tell me if it wasn't? I had a nice break today, a friend of mine had a stop over here in Toronto and I went out to the airport for a coffee with her. It was great to see her. My brother who lives on the west coast was supposed to have a stopover here tomorrow but it seems the airlines have changes his departure time and I won't get to see him after all. At our support group meeting we talked a bit about advanced directives and DNR's which most people at this point in the journey have dealt with and also the role of caregiver/support person. The meeting for this week was open, so any topic can be brought up. Next week a respirologist will be presenting not sure on what topic. The "group" will be getting together for coffee as we do most weekends. It seems our "group" is expanding, we always have room for one more!!

Kathy; I was just reading your post from y'day; said to hubby...."you gotta hear this" then proceeded to read it to him...Unm-be-lievable!!! You'd think that they'd have a family Dr pre-arranged for people. After all; it's not like you guys are "from" Ontario! For as organized as they seem and e'thing (the transplant ctr) ....that's a MAJOR missing component! The to add insult to injury a family Dr. who doesn't know much about COPD! On the plus side..... hubby is doing better in spite of! Kathy who was your respirologist at the clinic here?
