It is nearly the end of March and we have been here for 4 months now. Soon after our false alarm (or Dress Rehersal) I came down with some sort of nasty bug. I have been on antibiotics for 4 days now and starting to get my voice back. So far I have not passed this along to my hubby or anyone else! Still keeping my fingers crossed and my Purell and Clorox wipes handy! We have gotten over the emotionel hill of the false alarm, however everytime the phone rings i still get a jolt. The one good thing is we now know the drill and I have packed a bag that I can grab in moments notice, with my address book, camera, bottle of water, and a book. The only thing I will have to grab are the cell phone adaptors so I can make some calls. Our good friend from NS who had her transplant a couple of weeks ago is doing amazingly well. It is just incredible how much she improves everyday. I haven't been able to visit this week because of this bug I have but i get daily reports from her husband and I hope this weekend to be able to atleast talk to her. I have not been able to attend Physio with my hubby for over a week now...but friends have been great, making sure he makes it over and back and has help in the treadmill room when he needs it. Its so great to have such support!! Life continues on and the weather is starting to get a little warmer which is great as it means we will be able to get out a little more. I do wish I was home getting things ready for summer but I will appreciated even more when I finally get there!! Take care all !!

Kathy; I'm sorry to hear that you've been ill and I know it must be a constant concern that you might pass on that bug. BUT; it sounds like you're being very careful and cautious! Is it possible that someone could replace you, say, for a long weekend so that you could make a trip home? Or would you be too nervous that the "call" might come when you're gone? It's good that you guys got some "good" news about the other transplant; it must help you to feel "encouraged" that she's doing so well...... For you .... (Btw; I'm still looking at moving the sub board. I've not forgotten)
