I haven't posted on this forum for probably close to 2 years but I was drawn back here after reading this month's newsletter. Don't know if much of anyone remembers me here, I know that blossom does...we used to have good conversations, as well as Bear.....but not sure there's much of anyone left that was here when I was.
I was a caregiver to my hubby, who passed away a little over 2 years ago. I'm just now starting to crawl out of depths of my grief and trying to find my way in life again.
To all the caregivers, please share on here with each other...it's so important! There are very, very few support groups out there for us and we definitely need each other! I'll try and check in from time to time.
Hugs,
Mary

Mary, Mary, Mary..... It is soooooooo good to hear from you! You know; you might be surprised how many others might remember you as well..... many of the "originals" are still around...... We'd love to know how you're doing. I can only imagine how the past 2 years have been for you You said you were drawn back... and; you've remained a member of the Network even after your hubby passed away. Perhaps there's a reason..... You might make a good mentor Mary. You've been through it as a caregiver. Perhaps something to think about and we might discuss? Think about it please..... For you Mary.........

Hi Kygal, My name is Gwen and I am the newsletter editor so I was pleased to read your posting. I too am a "caregiver" and it is not always the easiest job is it? For a few months we had a caregivers corner as I really do recognize that need. We will probably reinstate that having read your posting. It reminds me of how many of us are out there and sometimes we can feel so alone. It is a balance between being supportive without being "overprotective" or "stifling" and that is never easy is it? Anyway, glad to see you and please don't be a stranger. I would love to hear any helpful suggestions you may have that I can pass on to others. Thank you for posting. Regards, Gwen

I hope you continue to come back more and more each day. You are right, the caregivers really do need to come here and share more...I wish mine would.
