As I continue to wait for my transplant, things are very, very busy.
I travel to TGH at least once a week to do physio, have any tests ordered, and also to see the doctors for regular clinic appointments.
I also do physio twice a week out here where I live. This is at the Respiratory Rehabilitation Program in Courtice which could possibly be ending next year as part of Lakeridge Health's cutbacks.
Our dear Bear worked tirelessly trying to save this program by writing many letters, sending emails, making phone calls and getting right in the appropriate party's face! My hat goes off to you Bear and I hope you get well soon.
This Monday will be my last appointment at TGH for this year then we're back at it Jan 4 with many appointments and tests booked for January.
That is, unless I get "the Call"!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a healthy New Year!
Toni

Way to go Toni! We'll wait with you. Does someone in your family know to contact at least one of us here or how to post on the board for when you DO get the call?
Also; if the Rehab closes after the first of the year; what do you do then?

Way to go Toni! We'll wait with you. Does someone in your family know to contact at least one of us here or how to post on the board for when you DO get the call? I have a contact list prepared that has emails, websites to update and phone numbers. My daughter will be contacting everyone using this list as a guide. I've also set up a Carepages page which she will look after. Also; if the Rehab closes after the first of the year; what do you do then? I'm not sure yet...hopefully I'll be done by then! One thing I will not do is go back to traveling to TGH three times a week. It was too stressful, not only on me, but Gord. There are some excellent facilities out this way that I could join. I know that there is a group of respiratory patients who exercise regularly at the "Y".

Toni, you are so organized and ready. I hope you get the call real soon so you can begin a new beginning early in the New year, maybe even before. It must be even more difficult driving back and forth now that winter has arrived. God bless.
