May 19th......Saw a kidney dr this morning and she gave me an exam, asked a lot of questions and got a sample from me that she was going to look at under a microscope. She said she would bring her team back this afternoon but it's now after 7 so I'm guessing it won't happen today. My ultra sound of the abdomin was clear...no obstructions plus I had an echo cardiogram on my heart and it showed the heart was working fine. Everything points to me going home tomorrow except the kidney issue which I'm hoping is going to be solved soon. I'll let you know what happens. Toni May 20thIt looks like I'll be staying here for a few more days. My hemoglobin is down so I'm anemic. Going to get some more blood. Also they are adjusting my meds to see if it will help my kidneys. They need to monitor all this so I understand why,it's just that I'm very homesick. Toni ********************* Oh but think about HOW GREAT it's gonna be and "feel" when you get home Toni. Think of this as a small wait........ NOT the BIG wait.

Being homesick is understandable, but it will be well worth it after you get home!!!!

I can understand your frustration at wanting to go home. The good thing is you'll be fully ready and not have to worry about all these 'little' things, you'll be as healthy as you can be.
Hope you are trucking around at max speed and breathing like a kid!

Toni, hoping this gets taken care of soon for you and your able to go home. It can be so frustrating but the DR's know what there doing and as Susan said, better to get all these taken care of so you can stay home when you get there. I had to have 2 transfusions also and boy did I feel better! You went through a huge surgery and your body needs to heal. Hang in there!! Wishing you the best.
