Been meaning to share this for a bit. I started using it several months ago and it's really quite good, not to mention handy! It's rice; one minute in the microwave. We like Long grain and wild rice but you can get it in different flavors etc... Talk about handy and quick and GOOD!

I've seen it too and wondered about it. I like rice but Barry is not that fond of it. Looks like the right size for just me. Thanks for letting us know how you like it.

Sandy, Mert won't eat rice either. Says it looks like fly babies (didn't want to write the real word, ) I have some really good recipes with rice in them and can't make them unless I want a ton of left overs just for me.

You're welcome. They really are handy. And; one small tub does the two of us for a meal. Mainly becasue we have other sides and/or salad. Otherwise you'd need one tub per person. All you do is peel back the corner of the top, pop it in the micro as is on high for 1 minute.

I have used these single serve rice microwave bowls before. They are pretty good in a crunch. I find that I like my rice a little bit more done than what they recommend, but that is always someones own preference.

I always have to cook Minute Rice longer than what is recommended because I like it more done, too, Aero.. Don't like it hard and crunchy. When I make Spanish rice the recipe calls for cooking it 10 minutes and it's perfect that way.

Just a side note, I freeze my extra rice in single serving sizes. Thaws fine and that way I airways have a side dish handy. Actually I don't eat rice any more ( not on my diet ) but Liz does.

Oh dear, here I go again. Peter, would you please tell me what a Christmas 'hamper' is? I've never heard the expression before. Thanks! Sue

Peter, what a nice idea. I'm sure you were surprised and pleased to see what goodies might be hidden in the basket.
