Everything should be ok, but please keep my sister in your prayers for tonight and tomorrow. She has been in the throes of a kidney stone for 2 days now and finally got admitted to the hospital this evening after being in the er all day. The hospital is under renovation so she was in the hall for a while and now is in a room that was formerly a maintenance closet. At least she has some privacy now. They are doing surgery tomorrow but they don't have a time yet. At least they gave her some morphine and her husband says that is helping with the pain some. It is 10 mm big. Must be too big for her to pass on her own. I just can't imagine sitting and waiting for a bed all that time and even then not getting anything for pain for hours. I wanted to die when I had mine. I'd have rather been in child labor than have the stone to pass. Misery!
Thanks guys. Everything should be ok but I'd like her to have some comfort of angels tonight.

Thank you so much. You know, thank goodness for social media. I am able to keep in contact with Erin throughout this via FB. I just 'talked' with her and she is still waiting for surgery. The stone is 1/2" big~that's huge! They will try to laser it, but if there is infection they will have to put in a stent to remove it. She says the morphine makes the pain bearable but it upsets her stomach so she doesn't like asking for it. What a bummer. I guess I am really lucky pain meds don't bother me like that, so far. Watch, it will be the morphine that will bother me and that 's the one I need for breathing. Anyway, as soon as I hear anything about how Erin's doing I will let you know. Thank you for the prayers and candle, too, John. I don't think you can die from a kidney stone but they sure as heck do hurt!

Erin finally had surgery. Don't know what they ended up doing yet, but know she's ok and ready and raring to go home asap. Probably in the AM after dr's rounds. She came t hrough with flying colors.
Thanks for all your prayers. I know they helped. I've never seen anyone in the throes of a kidney stone pain and able to conduct t hemselves as calmly as she did. Prayers helped.
Love you all !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just checked FB and she wrote that they did surgery about 5ish and did both laser and stent. The stent has to come out in a week. I am so proud of her!
