.
Just noticed an old application on my iMac system.
Fired it up and it spit out:
Quite Date: Dec 4 - 2006
Saved: $26,879 - since this date…
If wondering, this application is called Quit Meter….
If "counting saved dollars" is your thing, do use QuitMeter tool as well….
Hope this helps others…

A great encouragement for those who are struggling with quitting. I can't imagine how anyone can afford to smoke these days. Your post gives a really good perspective.

SMoking is a strong addiction....and an addict will do whatever it takes to fulfill their needs. I traded a name brand cigarette in for a cheapo brand. When even that cost went up I traded to Indian manufactured in Canada and sold on reservation. The last time I bought a carton it was $29.90, which is what the name brand cigs had gone up to when I traded them in.
I miss my cigarettes but am extremely glad I no longer smoke. Wish my lungs would agree and give me kudos.
Spike, that is awesome what you've done and I know I'm going to be in your shoes if I live that long. Two days ago it was 4 months since I've had a cigarette. I love not smelling like smoke. I love my house not smelling like smoke. I love not being embarrassed because I smoke.
Where do I find that site that you went to figure how much you've saved? Do you have the link? Thanks. Sue
