August 16th, 2013 Sue had asked me to ask you to say a prayer for her so I'll use this opportunity to update on her a bit and ask for a prayer for her and/or continued warm and positive thoughts. And John; I did tell her you'd be to the Shrine for which she's very grateful. I spoke with her for a short bit again...y'day (Friday). She's having a rough time with fluid retention (including her arms and hands)... they're trying a new diuretic so the jury's out as to whether it's working for her. Understandably, she's not been feeling the best lately... Fortunately Mert's over his bug so that's a plus.... With regards to being/getting on line I'm afriad she just doesn't have the energy/strength/concentration to wrestle with getting her password again etc from her provider (nothing to do with p'word for here) Remember she'd lost her phones and Internet. I'm not sure if Mert has tried for her but in all honesty, I don't think she's up to it at the moment. She asked about you all if there was anything new with the members etc and also about Linndie. Sounds like our Sue doesn't it?  Finally; she wants you to know that she "sends her love and she's "trying" to get better" .... (When I speak with her again or hear anything more, even from her sister, I'll let you all know.)Meanwhile..... Let's keep our Miss Sunshine close to our hearts ....  |

Tuesday August 20th, 2013 I had a really nice chat with Sue tonight. She's lost 10 pounds with this new diuretic thery're trying!!! That'a big thing believe me in relationship to where she is right now and for anyone in her situation. They really felt they were going to have to hospitalize her. Heck; she even spoke to my D for a few minutes! And; as great as that is; she sounded sooooo much better and clearer (I told her that  )!!! She was asking about many of you by name; and what was happening overall etc. And.... she's hoping to get back on the board here this Friday. So.... fingers are crossed eh? Let's hope she can! God knows we miss her! |

Good going Sue! So glad to read about the improvement. This water retention problem has beengoing on for so so long with you. Maybe this will be the ticket.
Even if you don't get in Friday, we all are just so glad you are doing better!!!!!

It is soooooo good to see you back with us here....  (And guys, it was my pleasure believe me to keep you abreast. Sue is also one of my COPD buddies; (you know that buddying up suggestion we make to e'one a few times a year) that we're always suggesting |

Thanks, Jackie. And for everyone, buddy's are more than just a contact for when there's information to be passed along. Jackie's calls let her know what was going on, but they also were a great pick-me-up when I was really down. I was feeling very alone and missing the Forum dearly. This is a place I depend on for daily contact with the world and I come here regularly, twice a day like clockwork. There is a routine involved with it which includes my breathing treatments and the contact and I was lost for a few days, . Well, I'm back and thanks to Jackie I made it through the 'crisis' without any cuts or bruises, haha. She kept me up to date on how everyone was doing and let me know who needed extra prayers, etc.. Hope it's a long time before it happens again! |
