I got this today from Sue NY's daughter ; Hi John. My mom is back in the nursing home. She went in about a week ago. It was just too much for my dad to take care of her and they finally got accepted to medicaid which will help pay for her stay. He's going to bring a laptop to her so she can talk to her friends on COPD when she can.

Sue, I want to echo what everyone else said. It will be so good to hear your voice on these boards again. Don't worry about catching up; just jump right in! Hoping you and Mert are weathering the transition as painlessly as possible.

It is so very good to hear from all my family here and to hear how much you care about me. As Corinne stated so many times, it is your words of love and prayers that keeps me going. Well, I'd like to tell my story. I've said this in another post about co-morbidities catching us and not the COPD. In my case, it was the treating of the COPD that brought on the co-morbidities and will likely take me to join a great many of ours that have passed, including our fearsome former leader. And yes, our loss was a great shock to me. I have so often thought of her and hoped to receive an encouraging phone call. She never let me give up and she kept me going. So my question is this, do you want this story to be on another thread or here. Hmmm, I feel like I've written this someplace else tonight. Did I? I just want the tale to one for everyone's eyes as it has a lot to say about how it all works, and how it worked for me. There is good, bad, and funny - something for everyone! I should probably do a questionaire, but I don't know how to do it. I will check into it now and if you don't see one it's because I couldn't figure it out. It will say New Thread for Sue's Journey yes___ , no___. Well, the lights are out in most of the Home now, except the few like me that are night owls. We have one nurse on the night shift that likes the lights out and everyone asleep when she comes on at 10 pm. Not going to happen. Not in my room anyways. But I do like to be a responsible roommate and I shut out my lights and turn the tv down as low as I can or call Mert and talk softly with him till she falls asleep, made noticeable by the snoring from her bed, . That is one good thing about the noisy concentrators, their noise covers up most of the sound of other noises. Makes her snoring very light sounding. Love to all, and pleasant dreams. I'm off to learn how to do a survey, or whatever it's called! Love and thank yous to all, Susie Sunshine*

Sue, I haven't checked the other threads yet but I am SOOOOOOO glad to hear from you. Wherever you care to share your story, I know we will find it and benefit from it.
Much love and many hugs,
