Thank You all . His son is coming in from Las Vegas as I type . We hope he gets here in time . I just need to share the power of our shrine . Sue and I lit a candle @ the shrine on Sunday night . petitioning for guidance . The very next morning we were to, by "chance " run into a long time friend who we hadn't seen in many years who now works at the hospital as a respiratory therapist . Right after that I called for a family & Doctors meeting and to my surprize . The Dr in charge of the ccu unit is my pluminay Dr. who I highly respect ..Chance ? I don't think so ! God Bless all of you. Just so you know we will accept prayers / thoughts and help from all Gods of your understanding even if They are not the same as mine . If you believe then I believe . th_candlewithfire

John, no things 'by chance' are not, we are guided to them. Keeping you and Sue in my prayers, will be thinking of you during the day. May he have an easy passing, and I hope his son arrives in time for his own sake. BIG HUGS

It was a special blessing to meet people that have been a part of your life at this time when you and Sue and the rest of the family need quiet support.
It took much courage and inner strength to make the final decision to remove the life support. I hope everyone was in agreement and supportive of each other and of you having the final authority.
The hours are now in the hands of your higher power - who/what ever that may be. Just being there in Rick's presence is the comfort he needs most to finish his journey.

So sorry to hear John but he is blessed to have loving people make the right decision for him. It is just very sad that it all developed at this time of year when all is supposed to be joy and happiness. My heart goes out to you and God is watching over you as always.

Hi, John. I have been praying for Rick ever since I heard about his troubles. Now he is on the glorious road to home and I pray he is in a peaceful place as he makes the journey. I can imagine it is a stressful place for you to be and for the whole family as well, so my prayers include all of you. I think that God put your pulmonologist and your friend in the place of caring for Rick just to make you reassured you are doing the right thing and keeping him safe on his way. It must have made you feel much better to see them as part of Rick's team of caregivers.
Blessings from our Lord, Sue
