My involvement with this forum began back on the first day the forum was started by Phil Gable on March 27 of 2007 . There were 26 of us who clung to each other for the breath of live . Many of the original members including Phil and Jackie W. have passed on . My service to this forum started as a global moderator which I did for about three years .Then about 4 years ago I became a Co- Administrator. It was during this time in the last two years major events were happening here in Copd Canada Land. First, Proboards was making major changes which forced us to reformat our board from the old to the new format by the end of April 2013. Old information and treads needed to be saved and transferred to the new board .Thankfully the new board is set up to be very user friendly . (By the way it went though with out a hitch) . Second, It was at this time that our beloved Jackie was regressing and asked me if I would be responsible for the change over and if something happened that she couldn't administer would I take over as administrator .The rest is up to date history for most of you.Keeping in mind my dedication to the board and all of you,it has been a long eight years and I feel my tenure has been fulfilled. It is time for new thinking and a new Administrator . So this is to let everyone know that on the 30th of September it is my intention to step down as Administrator of COPD IN CANADA AND THE WORLD ! I want to thank all of you for allowing me to serve an outstanding group of people .
P.S. It is not my intention to influence who the new Administrator will be . I think that should be decided by all of you . Again Thank You very much.

Dear John - I am speechless but totally understand your reasoning. What a ride the last 8 years have been for you! Plus - the loss of dear friends is life-changing. You are a true gentleman and a compassionate friend and supporter to all of us on this site. I extend my heartfelt gratitude and a hug for all you have done...and all I am sure you will contribute in the future.
John Thank you so much for your time and commitment. I hope we will still see you for coffee in the morning's as it is getting to that time of year that we will have to see how Big Red is doing. Again THANK YOU Barry
Thank you John, for all the time and the effort you have put in over the last eight years. Being Admin can be a difficult and very draining job at times, but you never hesitated and always did your best to help make this site the wonderful place that it is.
I will continue to do my job as co-admin and keep the wheels turning until the members decide what they are going to do.
