Starting this year very optimistic with hopes dreams. One goal is not to pay my library fines that are huge for most of the times. That will stop. The amount I paid for fines could be spend for something that I need. Two pairs of qood quality and stylish sandals went for my library fines last year.No more. I will add more of my hopes, dreams and goals. How about you?

My goal is to get back to a routine of exercising during the week. I slaked up some because my shoulder was hurt. It is still hurt but it is getting better. I will just have to be careful and not lean on it with my weight when I and trying to catch my breath.
I have gotten down to where I can't hardly do anything without breathing heavy and loud. I will see if the exercise will improve me. It has in the past but my emphysema is a progressive disease.

Another goal is to see if Medical Marijuana will benefit me. It's legal now in Florida but it will be a while before it goes into use. State is trying to figure out how they will run this business.
If it don't benefit me then it is no big deal. I don't mind being a guinea pig at this stage in the game.

For me in 2017, I need to listen more to my retired racing turtle.
re: - Work less and play more. Especially at our remote cottage. - Focus on things I can change and ignore the things I cannot. - Focus less on material things and enjoy the comfort / reliable things we already have. - Pray my Arm Forces son continues to remain safe, healthy and happy. - Pray my daughter graduates college this year and secures her dream job soon after. - Pray my Special Needs son remains safe & healthy as well. - Visit my remote family more often. Especially my dad - who's going blind. - Continue to exercise and drop extra 15-20 lbs - where my doctor wants my diabetic numbers.
Ya. Just a small number of items I need to keep on my 2017 radar.

Spike: One day at a time! To much no good, prayers are good but don't put to much on yourself! My prayers are always with you.

thanks Gail. But if I don't run full throttle, my wife will trade me in for 2 x guys (each at 1/2 my current age). re: One to do inside work and other to do outside work. !!!! Luckily, we will apply "no work on Sunday" rules this year as well...

Number 1 = rest in recliner chair. Number 2= you don't have to do a thing, which means you and you're wife get to spend more time together!! Number 3# good idea if she hires someone else to do all work!! Last but not least more family time!! I say bring em on!!! She cannot trade you unfare!! No grounds to stand on, Spike I think you won if you place you're bets, I got my 5 dollars down she will scream for more Spike and family time!! Anyone with me on this??? Pitch in all bets on .

I can honestly say "I have never failed to follow-through with a single New Years Resolution", simply because I have never made one or ghod-forbid a created a list of them. (Shudder!)
Not making them has proved to be major improvement my quality of life: 1) I don't have to concern myself with any pending quilt; 2) I have never been caught abandoning a project or promise; 3) I don't have to remember anything, set up any schedules, or monitor any progress; 4) It allowed me in my younger days to be very flexible - for example when asked what mine was, I could reply "To improve my knowledge of {insert_their_favorite_advocation_here}" or "Yes {insert_relative}, I made a resolution to call more often"; 5) When married I could easily respond "Yes dear, I'll get right to it. It is one of my New Year resolutions" - always good to buy more time; 6) Provides the opportunity to do something odd now and then without having to go into long explanations or details - "Yes I've always wanted to learn the Oboe - it was a New Years resolution" ....
So I suggest all to unite and cast off the chains of 'resolutions', face the New Year with a clean slate. (Smile)

Hahaha gnott! When I was a kid I made them, they lasted one day . I just don't make them, I know myself!!! Can't keep them. I'm like that kid when the parent says : Eat all you're vegetables and you can have desert!! Well guess what? I also was the only kid still sitting at the dinner table, while all the other kids were outside playing! And already had desert! Just can't help it!!! Hahaha.

Mary 57,That's one of my hopes as well. For a last few weeks, I started to take stuff for the charity shop. Today I got about 15 items (mainly mine) ready for donation. When I got sick I done big clean up at both of my homes but somehow more stuff entered again. Take care Jade

I do that often, more often then I should. Just ask Bob, bc he's a harder and I forget and throw some of his stuff out and oh boy do I have to listen to it later on!! So he has a shed he can put it all in his 2 sheds now . My stuff I figure it this way, if I buy a new outfit I bring one to the church, one I don't wear at all. The more I bring in, the more I bring out! That's how I keep it clean in her, not to mention we had to down size from 3 family home to trailer. So from 3 floors of furniture to one floor. It was easy for me. I was so happy I didn't have to take care of 3 apartments anymore. I'm very happy now. And it would have been the life of me anyway. Gail.

I knew about some of these foods, but gosh! I need to take a look at what I've been eating lately. I totally went the opposite direction. I was doing great but ppl in my home estate badly and I have no choice sometimes. If that's what's cooked I have to eat! But things are going to change. I can always move out again. If ppl don't want to see me live longer I can move! Thanks for the info..
