Peter, stay strong and give them H3LL seems they need it! I hope that tangle got sorted out, and it is a smoother experience for the radiation treatments. My prayers are with you.

Quick fast forward...... END OF STAY AT MONASH WARD 44 2017. (Now for my Cancer Journey at Peter Macs.) 29th. June Next day after release from Monash, i was picked up by the Patient Ambulance Service and taken to Peter Mac...I had tto be ready by 10AM which for me means 6 AM start in order to get ready...Things are so slow these days it is very frustrating...Beth does her best to get me prepared while Snowy knows exactly something is not right n hates the concentrator... I might get a solo ride there but usually there is one other from the area approximates.....The Radiology takes around 20 mins all up and then depending on the days logistics, a return trip can have wait times over just around an hour n a half or if lucky a 4 pick up and 20 min wait....excellent service.... So after Day 7, I have only 3 to go for the 2 weeks initial treatment and follow up feedback with Onchologist, who i like very much...i thought it was much longer but boy i look forward to the w/end break as then depending on the days logistics, a return trip can have wait times over just around an hour n a half or if lucky a 4 pick up and 20 min wait....excellent service.... ...now Beth and me plus Snowy are 2 home bodies..plus my large group of OZ n NZ Support Group, I helped set up as most are US based and even though i am a member of so many diverse groups, my home base is my true close group of friendships...at most hours of the day/nite. and it keeps me from getting tired n depressed. So here is everything up to date!......Sorry bout the long delay but it been a terrible period and at last have been offered all available help service at my disposal...Even my GP feels a bit of guilt and calls me a/hrs a fair bit...She also sends all my scripts incl Schedule 8 ones to my pharmacy so i do not need to make a special visit... Thank you all very much for the prayers n concerns....no doubt i will keep fighting.....xxxxxxx Attachment Deleted

Hi everyone...sorry i do not check in often but it has been quite a ride and this is my first week coming up where i do not have to be under some sort of treatment or drag myself out of bed to catch my ride.....so very pleased....hope all is well with you guys n will catch up more regularly soon i hope....... Had my last treatment wednesday n get a much needed break till my next meeting with my specialist at Peter Macs in 2 weeks time and an endoscophy check-up with those at Monash......... Met my new Home care co-ordinator yesterday and very surprised that they are not directly involved with ''the'' palliative care but the local south east specialists care that covers a set area....and has it's own local office, funnily enough part of the same integrated care facilities, i did pulmo rehab....got 24 hour type nursing service and lots of different types of community support for related issues......so enjoying the break....tell you one thing, this radiation sure drains just about everything out of you . Getting very cold here but July is the worst month n things should gradually improve....I try n stay active on FB as much as possible as it gets my mind off things...... Thanks everyone for the support and take care........

n thanks every one.....just another quick update.... 17th. July... I am mentally adjusted to my situation and really happy to find how supportive our local palliative care team are....so they are also taking care of Beth and in reality as the 2 year terminal is based on fact, but does not suggest it will come to pass within that time frame. or could come much earlier.....even my GP personally writes n drops off my scripts to my pharmacy and all i need to do is text her whatever i need.....so that is wonderful....the sad part is most of my predicament was bought on thru medical negligence or not acting on my issues since 2015 and now when faced with ''possible'' internal investigation because of my detailed journal going back to 2014 when i arrived home.....not that i intend to create an issue out of it...... Tomorrow the Social Worker returns with all the follow up suggestions organised and dates to be set when appropriate to handle each case..... Friday or Monday....The Physio Lady starts my home based exercise program so i have a new regime that I can follow rather than what has been my past rehab routine, so looking forward to a new learning......... Just an up to date on what is going on....I am under the care of Peter Mac, n yesterday met my Oncologist for a check up after a break from my radiation treatment..He wants to see me in 3 months for another Scan but all i need is a referral from mu GP to see him anytime i have issues....My Palliative Care Team are wonderful n have helped me with my legal issues via their social worker...I am in the process of getting my small Life Insurance Policy paid out early as i now have a terminal disease n a chronic disease COPD together....This extra funds will help Beth n Snowy look at options to live comfortably as possible when i am gone....and some spare money for us as a small bonus... Most of the other paperwork is almost complete and it can become a nitemare to put all of it together... Take care everyone and hope the fires in BC are not affecting anyone with the smoke.... This is sad news my friend, my heart goes out to you and your family. But like the trooper you have always been, you are putting your "problems" behind you and doing your very best to take care of your family in the only way you possibly can.

Well Peter - the road you are crossing seems very long and painful yet you are writing divinely. You are a great aspiration to many and the fact that you are still able to take care of your family in this process is overwhelming. You are a strong man Peter - many hugs going your way and please keep us posted. So glad you are part of our group.
