I'm in South Carolina so awaiting the total solar eclipse in a couple of hours.
Picture this: 1) it's now NOON 2) in about 2 hours it'll be MIDNIGHT 3) in short of 3 hours it'll be SUNRISE. Who set this up?
What's really weird are the masses of people travelingTO the eclipse. I sure hope the books are right and the earth is round otherwise....

I am here in Florida and I did not notice anything except it did get a bit cooler. I am thankful for that

Yeh! the ecllipse did pass through here - totally dark sky, crickets got loud, street lights came on, some parked car lights came on, and people were coming out of their houses like ants after a bag of sugar. It was interesting, though. After a few minutes and Poof - all gone!

In my part of Utah we were supposed to see about 85% eclipse (northern Utah 91%). ----We were cloud covered so I wasn't able to see anything, other than at 11:30 am it looked like "dawn" instead of middle of afternoon. It seemed to have a different looking darkness than just cloud cover. (i was going to post a picture, but I forgot until I took pictures today that I hadn't downloaded my camera, let alone a photo program---another program to "find" and learn how to work on this new computer :/ )

I was driving and forgot about it and never saw a big difference. My co-worker said the same.

When I went to exercise today the nurse told me it did get a little dark, like a sunset. She even had some pictures. Don't last but for a few minutes so I must have been in the house during that time cause I didn't notice anything. I have to believe her. I guess she saw it and I didn't. Maybe next time.
