there! My husband is also diabetic (no insulin yet) and is totally deaf in one ear. We wanted to go to my sister's holiday house in Hualtuco, Mexico, but I wasn't thinking about travel insurance which is probably prohibitive. We live in British Columbia. Any thoughts? Would just like insurance for two weeks and wondered about others' experiences.

Heather, try BCAA for a per trip insurance. As long as the COPD is stable, no Exacerbation for 6 months, and supplimental oxygen is not required you should be able to get the insurance. The cost will depend on age etc.
Credit cards can also offer some reasonable prices. American Express or Some Visa cards have some reasonable offers.
The last couple of years it appears if supplemental oxygen is required, no one seems willing to offer coverage.
