Thank you!!!! This may have all started out as one person, but the reality is I intended COPD Canada Patient Network to be a NATIONAL, and INTERNATIONAL Network of COPDer's helping COPDer's; starting at the grass roots level. We're particularly concerned about folks in rural areas who don't have access to the needed things; even the basic understanding of the disease & coping; particularly those not on the internet and more senior individuals etc... We're incorporated; we have a board of Directors, all are members here. I'm proud of them and e'one that's involved and e'one who joins because they care about others; like themselves. Also; anyone that joins and becomes a member in the Network has a vote/say in things annually. We don't have a lot but we try to do good with what we have; including our educational DVD; and we do have involvements in national things such as the National Lung Health Framework. (More updates on that will be coming out in the summer edition of the Newsletter) Shelley; thank you for asking and folks thanks for the well wishes. Donations can be be done on line Via PayPal (credit cards included) and /or mail (USD or Canadian). Tax Deductible.www.copdcanada.ca/donate.htmBelieve me; even the price of a stamp or paper can get pretty dear to us . It's a strange thing when you can say you're proud of being a COPD'er; BUT; you know what? I am; because I know, and you all know, what it's like and a person doesn't need to explain further. Be Well e'one.....
