I picked these two out for dinner because they require the same cooking time. We enjoyed the meal, the recipe is simple.
Orange Chicken
Place 4 chicken filets in a casserole dish (crumbed if you like) Mix in a jug 1¼ cup of orange juice (I pick off our tree) 2 tablespoons of vinegar 1 teaspoon of basil Pour over the chicken, then sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Cover and cook at 350°f (180°C) less for fan oven (I use 165°C) 1½ hours. Baste is good
Onion & Potato
Peel and slice enough potatoes to suit the number of diners. Peel and slice onions. Layer in a dish potato, onion, potato, onion. Season to taste Pour a cup of milk over the top A little butter on top, dotted is good, about a tablespoon in total Uncovered, cook at 350°f (180°C) less for fan oven (I use 165°C) 1½ hours.

Larry, That sound very good. But,I only had one problem with that. I had the biggest disire to slap you when you said (1 1/4 orange juice I PICK OFF THE TREE ) You turkey we have to go to the stores and hope we find a fresh one. I will try it one night with my store bought oranges.

Wow, Could you imagine - just walk out and pick an orange from your own personal tree. We can only wish. Lucky man Larry. Great recipe too.

Thanks so much Larry. A meat and potatoes at the same temperature. I like this combination. It's appreciated.
