Cheryl, Keep in mind this is Nancy's Pork Roast not mine. She says her family loves it. The next one she fixes she is bringing me some to taste. I have never heard of that. Although I know a woman that puts a coke in the cooking bag with her turkey. Haven't tried that either.

Don't knock a cola on pork till you try it... ;D I've always cooked my hams with a can of coke poured on it. As long as you use regular and not diet, it carmalizes on the meat and keeps it moister. Not sure why it's usually used on pork but those are the recipes I've usually seen using the cola products. Hmmm, maybe that's a question for the ages... Hugs, Mary

Cheryl, She tells me you can't. That with the soup it make a great gravy. She was so proud of it and said put this on the site. I haven't tried it but I will one day. Tom will eat anything once.

I can believe the cooking with Pepsi or Cola. 7 Up use to actually provide recipes at one time using their pop.

I would think that pepsi or coke with meats as such would be like marinating them (not so much for taste) for tenderness, remember what coke & pepsi are. They sure would act as a caramalizer on a ham or anything like that poured directly over the meats with no other liquids though. sounds good
