Kathy is a Caregiver.
She has agreed to "journalize" her jouney and all that it entails while her partner awaits a transplant. They both have recently relocated from Nova Scotia (lungs transplants are not done in this province) to Toronto.
We hope that other caregivers, and/or potential transplantees, and/or interested individuals will have some light shed on the process.
She tells us the longest anyone has had to wait from the Maritimes has been 17 months, the shortest was 1 month and 2 days. Here's hoping that the wait will be a short one for them
When she posts, please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
And; thanks Kathy!
