Christmas has passed and we had a wonderful one. As I mentioned before two other couples joined us for the day and we had a great time. One of the ladies who is awaiting a transplant wasn't having a great day but she made the most of it. She is now in hospital with a collapsed lung. One of the most notable things about being here with others who are dealing with similar issues is that no one faces any of these challenges alone, no one sits in emerg alone and no one deals with the stress and anxiety alone. Those of you who are regulars on COPD Canada site understand this, the first time I ever saw such a thing was here, where you all checked in everyday and shared bits of your life and struggles. As a caregiver I never shared some of those things with other caregivers until now. Its an incredible thing. While we wait for physio to start up again in January we are keeping physically active with a home exercise program. We are doing it together (hmm i am a little surprised at how out of shape I have become!).
