My condolences to the family of John Morrison. May you take some comfort in the fact that he is now at peace. This poem is a favourite of mine.
Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep - I am with you still - I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on sn*w, I am sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awake in the morning's hush I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone - I am with you still - in each new dawn.

There are no words that can truly articulate what is felt when we finally shuffle off this mortal coil. We just have to believe with all our hearts that we go with God to a better place. John's work here on earth is finished and PEI now has a rehab centre of its own thanks to John's efforts. Kudos old friend you have earned your eternal rest. May God see Ann and the kids through this terrible time. Save a place at the dinner table for me okay. See you later John.

The man I never knew but wish I had, John Morrison. This is what the members of the forum taught me about this man of courage.
John was able to bear the cruelties of life with grace and dignity, making the best of the cards dealt. He was not the type of man to want us to wallow in grief over his death, but to rise up and rejoice in a wonderful life lived to it's fullest and for the benefit of others.
Good men die, but the memories you have of them will live forever. To completely die a man must be forgotten. John will not be forgotten and therefore lives on. Our hearts will always remember him. His name, John Morrison, not written in water, but carved in stone.
Perhaps one day soon, I will be lucky enough to meet him personally.
