Does any one know how to burn a cd that is an autorun and will open to an introductory page rather than show the files. The disk I want to burn is a .doc file with a link to a .pdf file Any help would be appreciated.

. For a Windows XP system, try: - Starting from normal Desktop position. - Using Left mouse button, open "My Computer" (2 x clicks). - Using Left mouse button, select the CD drive (only 1 click to select it). - While CD drive is highlighted, click on Right mouse button (this will launch its alternate menu). - Using left mouse button, select Properties. - Using Left mouse button, select its "Auto Play" sheet. - Using Left mouse button, select its `CD contents` type. For your data CDs (re: loaded with .doc & .pdf files), you might want to select "Mixed Contents". - Using Left mouse button, select "Select Action to Perform". - Using Left mouse button, scroll to bottom of list. - Using Left mouse button, select "Take NO Action". - Using Left mouse button, select "Apply" - Using Left mouse button, select "OK".
Using this Auto-Play panel, one can still allow their Video DVDs or their Music CDs to "auto run" but their data CDs take NO action. Cool feature. Especially if you keep a CD in the drive and don't want it to "auto run" all the time.
Give this a try and if it doesn't work for you, do remember to convert the setting back to its original value.
Hope this helps...
