Wednesday May 20 8:00am RNA (MUGA) Scan 10:00am meet with Transplant Coordinator 11:00am meet with Anesthesiologist 1:00pm meet with Social Worker I thought today would be a little easier physically...wrong! The MUGA scan this morning was very tough. You have two injections which help track the blood flow through the heart. You then lay flat on a table and pictures are taken of your heart. The next part was pedaling a bike lying down while more pictures are taken. I had a real hard time with this and at the end I almost had a full blown asthma attack. I tried to sit up but the camera was in the way. I kept telling the technician that I needed to sit up but she kept telling me "Just a few more seconds, the camera is still taking pictures" It wasn't pretty. The next three appointments were with the Transplant Coordinator, the Anesthesiologist, and the Social Worker. A lot of information was given, both verbally and in writing. I got a little weepy during our talk with the Social Worker, but that was probably a good thing. Tomorrow should be a lot less intense and we don`t have to be there until noon. Now I`m ready for bed... Toni
