Today I have an appointment with my respirologist. At his request, I obtained a copy of my CT scan on a CD which I'll give to him today. Hopefully he'll be able to give me some more information about the results that TGH found.
Still haven't had word on when the next CT Scan is other than it's being booked for August.
Also had my first in a series of three Hep A and B shots which TGH requested I have through my family doctor.

Good luck today Toni; let us know how you make out please.
Also; it may not hurt to inquire about "the date" etc of your CT. It's so easy sometimes for the ball to get dropped... he thought, she thought re: the booking

I love my respirologist! He is wonderful.
He told me that from what he read (TGH has sent him all my reports and he has read them bless his heart! ) he feels that the nodules are nothing to worry about. They are so small they hadn't previously shown up on x-ray. Once he looked at the actual scan, he said it looked like a pneumonia scar tissue which may have been there for years.
But he can't say for sure until the next scan and to try not to worry.
I do feel a little better knowing what his opinion is even though I realize I have to wait for the next scan.
Jackie...I did call a week and a bit ago and mentioned I hadn't heard anything. The co-ordinator told me that she had given the information to he secretary to make the appointment. I will follow up next week if I haven't heard.
Thanks everyone for your support!
Toni

Toni; I'm glad you finally got the scan date..... But why so glum? Is it becasue you're nervous it might show something? It might not either. I remember what that "wait" is like for the next scan; not a fun time is it?
We'll be right there with you.... and once you get it over with you'll be able to move on. Is someone going with you and has he set a follow up visit with him for after the scan or is it "let's wait and see? "

Thanks again for your support... I'm glum because Aug 4 is a bad day for me. It's the anniversary of my Dad's passing. How ironic as he died from having COPD. No mention of a follow up. I'm pretty sure the coordinator will call me with the results. If good they will proceed to arrange an angiogram. Gord will go with me as usual ( I get lost traveling around that BIG hospital ) I am glad it's sooner rather than later...

Toni; I'm so very, very sorry...... how sad Can I tell ya something though? My mom passed away at the age of 43 on Christmas Eve (lung related) - it was the same hospital I had my surgery done and spent 7 weeks in..... When did I get out? Christmas Eve. Sometimes; just sometimes.... ironically there's good that can come around from the same things. You know; if I lived in T.O. lady.... I'd be "physically" accompanying you!

Blossom...I'm glad you didn't say Christmas Eve was a coincidence. It wasn't you know. Your Mom was letting you know she's still around. My grandson was born the same day..June 23..that my yr. old son died yrs. previously. It's a wonderful thing to know we will live on and still be able to visit our loved ones.
