For those of you who don't already know, MS Windows 7 has the option to configure with "large size" text. Great for folks who have poor vision - like me. To enable this feature, perform:
1 - With mouse pointer on main desktop, click Right Mouse button (for its alternate menu). 2 - Using left mouse button, Select Screen Resolution. 3 - Using left mouse button, Select Make Text or other items larger or smaller text. 4 - Using left mouse button, Select Medium - 125% larger or 150% - Larger (your choice). 5 - Using left mouse button, Select Apply. 6 - If prompted, log off then back on. Or, shut down and restart.
For me, I like using Window 7 @ 125% font size.
Hope this helps...

Another alternative that works with Windows XP and Vista is simply hold down the control key and hit the + key on the numeric keypad. Each time you hit + it increases the text size>

Good Catch. If wondering, CTRL+"+" or CTRL-"-" works in Windows 7 as well. However, it only applies to the "active" window that is open. The above applies to all windows and desktop icons. Its sometimes called DPI setting.
