On Wednesday I went for testing before I start Rehab This following Wednesday. I had a EKG, BP, Pft test, A failed blood gas she dug in my arm for about 10 min... So she called The Transplant Institute and got my Blood gas numbers from them, Thank God. Then I had to ride a bike with a thing in my mouth that i breathed through till i was tired. And answer a million silly questions, And go over my med list. @ hrs later I was done and on my way home...My Pft showed my FV1 was at 28, It was 19 at the Institute don't know why the jump but I have been feeling better soooo...Thats about it. Well Bobbi...... sounds like they're definitely moving forward!
Yuck.... don't you just hate it when they keep "trying" to do an ABG? It can get to the point where you run outta patience and end up saying "Enough Already!" And; they obviously did a Cardio Pulmonary Stress test..... As for your FEV number change..... yours is a perfect example of how PFT numbers numbers can fluctuate from one visit to the other.
I'll be curious to know if your "Rehab" sessions are the same as everyone else's or if they're "tailored" towards poitential Tx folks.
Keep at it lady and TY for updating us!

Thanks, Bobbi. Sounds like a tiring day. I wonder the same as Blossom about the Rehab, is the same as for everyone. Do you know if you'll have to continue going up to the transplant or how will that work?

Yes I go back in August. And then we will do more testing. And he will order more tests so I can do them locally. Bobbi

I have never had rehab. It just isn't available close to me, the only one that was an option closed while I was awaiting approval. I am also curious if the rehab before tx is the same as the rehab for non-tx eligible patients.
