(Dang; I just did a lengthy post here and lost it) Well; I went in for my quarterly blood, urine and breathing tests for the study then saw Dr. Hernandez. Gotta tell you folks; there WAS a degree of comfort while driving down there this morning...in my mind I saw you all standing shoulder to shoulder in a friendship circle around me Made me smile. I'm having a bronchoscopy done Friday morning. I'm not sure about the crystallized mass area but the nodule has grown; albeit slightly. They're gonna check it out and do a biopsy. It'll be 2 weeks before I get the reslults) He's also lining up a nuclear test to check my lungs to see which areas are functioning better than other areas so that if in fact I do have to be looking at a lobectomey it'll let them know the impact on my functionability and whether it's something we want to proceed with. Then there's always the big "C" concern which brings with it a whole lot of other tests and direction. BUT; 1st things first I guess.... they'll check and see if it is "C". This is NOT a test I want to endure at all and I would have preferred a bit more time to "get my head around it". It makes me VERY NERVOUS (the proceedure) Having said that I guess I should be grateful that he (Dr) is being aggressive about this. If any of you have personally had it done I sure would like to hear about it. Just don't scare me any more than what I already am . Please stay with me folks....I'll need you there....and thank you all so very much for e'thing you have done for me with your prayers and good thoughts. My aprreciation is beyond measurement. Jackie

Hi Jackie,
Glad to hear you're home and keeping your chin up; my thoughts have been with you all morning. Let me know which test you're concerned about; if it is the bronchoscopy, I've had so many done I think I can write the book. However, I have not had the other test. Send me a note.
Many hugz for a great day, Shelley

Jackie, I'm sorry that you have to wait 2 weeks for the results. It's so hard to wait. I've not had a Bronchoscopy so can't comment on that, but the Nuclear Scan is nothing to worry about. We can talk about the Lobectomy if it's needed. I wish I could be there personally to hold your hand and give you a hug. Just remember that they've discovered much in the last 10 years. My spirit is with you and my arm is around your shoulders. If you need anything, ask. I'm always available.

Isn't that what Ted Koppels wife had, a lobectomy and now she is at 70% wow. I wanted something on a lighter note. On a more serious one I am with Virginia, I refuse to think "C" or anything else negative, I will just spend my thoughts in prayers that God will guide all of this the Drs hands minds etc. and keep you in his loving arms to walk and guide you through this. He healed the sick, caused the lame to walk and blind to see. Have a good day! & Blessings
