. Lesson learned to share with each of you.
My wife & I bought a "used" Media Player. My warrior son broke another Media Player and we needed another low cost replacement. So.... We bought a used replacement to save some money. As per its provided instructions, I connect to our TV set using AVI cable, put the TV in AVI mode and turned the Media Player unit on. It wasn't 100% synchronized with our TV. So, I'm thinking the previous owner left it customized for his specific TV (HDMI cable) setup. Thus, I press a few buttons and select its "set to factory settings" selection. Are you sure? I click YES. Within a wink of an eye, its langage (and its onscreen text) is now in China symbols. I flip the Media Player unit over and at the bottom it clearly states "made in China". Darn!!!. I then spent the next 20 minutes changing (guessing) its buttons to re-select English language.
Lesson learned... Read its "made in xxxx" label before selecting its "reset to factory settings" selection.. Some devices litterally flip to "factory settings"- including its default language setting. Hope this helps others...
