This past week I just had to change my queen size bed linens. I used the low rolling stool I bought (one for each floor) and the king size fitted sheet, regular queen flat top sheet. I changed the 3 pillowcases the day before and it was tough. Just getting the spread, blanket and sheets off the bed was exhausting. But glad I had the king sheet with the bottom 2 corners marked with a magic marker. The OT person and I had used this sheet (the king was recommended so I wouldn't have to struggle with a tight queen) before and she recommended marking or sewing some different color threads on the bottom 2 corners. It sure made figuring out laying the fitted sheet our properly. Always hated how long it took as the dimensions seem very similar between the sides and bottom areas. Most of the sheets in my closet have the elastic that goes all the way around the sheet making it even harder to figure out. Maybe I am just dumb. But I must say, marking the sheet and using a rolling stool to move around to tuck the filled sheet really made a difference. For those of us with bad hyperinflation, not having to bend over so much really helped It still took me almost an hour to strip and then put all the linens back in place! And then I just laid on top of the bed and rested for another 45 min. But at least I did it.......

This may only apply to a limited audience but thought I would share it anyway. I have a low round stool on good wheels to be able to sit on and attend to dust-bunnies around the bottom of bedroom furniture. Over the years, monthly I would use the soft vacuum brush to remove dust from bedroom dresser (nooks, crannies, all those different vertical levels of wood details, etc. I don't polish anymore. Today I was a little SOB but just had to remove the dust and skin flakes around my bedroom So I sat on the wheelie and it made vacuuming so much easier!! Luckily, the on/off switch is on the handle and my vacuum is a Sears HEPA Canister style. I stopped frequently to do some PLB but being already in a sitting position was much less stressful.

Good ideas. I put safety pins with a loop for bed controls on my brothers blankets after his stroke. I never thought about marking the bottom of his sheets. Awesome stuff.
