There does seem to be greater acceptance of natural remedies that in the past.  I suspect a lot is cost driven, but also they are beginning to accept that natural solutions do work.  It appears that the acceptance is much greater in Europe, possibly due to the Drug Companies have less of a strangle hold on what doctors prescribe.
