On several pages, there is a "News" feed. The text scrolls left to right. For me this feature is quite distracting - my mind doesn't "do" left to right fast scrolling plus the information isn't helpful to me. Is there a way to disable this feature? At the ProBoards site there's a reference to News Fader which I assume this is what has been implemented here. I've searched through my options e.g. block, disable, page info, etc.

I'll talk with John about it. To me it has always been a feature of Proboard's sites and I don't think there is an option for a member of to turn it off. It can be turned off, but then no one else would see it. As far as I know, it is only on the home page, I'll look at it in the morning, as it's way past my bed time tonight. Take care Joany, I hope you have a good day.

John, the change made to the News Feed is much better for these tired old eyes and mind. I hope it doesn't cause others with a different set of "tiredness" to have a problem. Thanks soooo much...

i like it too....the less moving things the better for my old eyes & for my old computer to keep up with! (too many moving things slows my computer down & sometimes it even freezes up & i have to re-boot the whole thing.

The previous "news" scroll appears to be back. Also the posts no longer have the Quick Reply option.
