Oh Hi Dottie, welcome to our wonderful forum full of beautiful kind and warm friends. We all are in the same boat here. When I found out oh I was really a mess, this forum had been a life savor for me. You sure met 2 of the most wonderful people ever. I live near John and Sue, and went all through School with Sue and have been friends for years. I'm so glad you're here Dottie, please cone to the fence and share with us about you if you want, as we all share together . We are all here for you. It's one up from here. I'm Gail. They told me I have emphysema, cops, pneumonitius, which is part of Lupus, so if Lupus kicks in it attacks my lungs, they don't know, I say I have emphysema, with pneumonitius. How's that . Not fun I know. I'm so happy to meet you. Hope you join us for coffee at the fence. Love Gail.

Welcome Dottie. I am happy to meet you & that you joined our group, but I am sorry the circumstances that an illness brings us all together. I'll never forget when i was 1st told that i had COPD/emphysema....it was scary as hell! I was started on supplemental 02 at nights & when active from the very beginning (2010)---7 years later I'm still going (maybe a bit slower & with a bit more 02, but still here ). I'm glad that you joined a group that has others going thru this & also has "good" information about the disease. When I was first diagnosed I went online & was looking up "how long would I live" and other very scary things. I do not advocate that! It wasn't until 2012 that i found a support group like this & finally learned that this isn't a death sentence. I hope you find the support & information I have. There are wonderful & loving people on this site that share & care about this disease. Welcome again!
