We beat the world for the right to chalenge, now the cup race itself, far more difficult, its now 1-1. the bit below is from Yahoo.
Team NZ level final with comeback win 25/06/2007 08:28 AM NZPA Team New Zealand produced a stunner today, coming from behind to beat defenders Alinghi off Valencia and tie their best-of-nine America's Cup yachting match 1-1.
The New Zealanders, who won by 28 seconds, took the decisive lead on the third leg when Alinghi, who were ahead, decided not to cross in front of NZL92's bow, but to tack away to leeward to protect the right hand side of the course.
In the ensuing drag race, Team NZ were able to survive in the windward position and slowly edged ahead.
