I was on the internet one day and saw the picture of the cat below and fell in love with him, he is almost identical to My cat Rocky who also was a stray and lived with me for about 17 years. I then had to have him put down about 6 years ago because he got paralyzed on his back end. I was crushed and could not even think about having another companion After all this time I felt I really wanted another companion, so Kim brought him over he made himself at home and sometimes I feel I have my Rocky back cause they are so similar in looks ant temperament. We have just had him over 2 months and it seems like he has always been here, This is a follow-up letter I sent to Kim Hi Kim, I just wanted to let you know that Spot is doing great! It's just over two weeks since he came into our home. He is so loving and affectionate, he has certainly filled a void in my life. I realize that he is FIV positive, but without you telling me I certainly would never have known. He is a healthy happy extremely clean cat with a great personality and has certainly made himself right at home. If I go out to run some errands he sits in the front window and waits for me to come home, then runs to the door to greet me with his funny chattering. His favorite thing is to sit on my lap and cuddle. FIV positive to me means he has the right to a loving home just like any other pet, and we are certainly glad he chose our home to share his love in. I would certainly recommend to anyone who is thinking of getting a pet to consider an FIV + cat, as I think they realize that they are being given a second chance and that makes them all the more loving. PAWS is a great friend to have if you are an animal that is need of care and love.... Thanks Very Much Again ~ Ellen and Harry ( Spots new Mom and Dad ) About PAWS PAWS was established in 1972 by a group of animal lovers who wanted to assist animals in need. We proudly enforce a strict no-kill policy, while providing a unique free-roam shelter where homeless, abandoned and abused animals are given safe haven - indefinitely. We offer exceptional care to the animals in our charge that is second to none. PAWS is the only rescue, of which we are aware, that routinely tests our cats for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus – a.k.a Feline Aids), FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), illnesses which can be life-threatening to other cats. Because we do not want our adopters to endanger their own animal companions we incur this extra expense and effort. If any of our rescues are diagnosed with one of these diseases, we DO NOT euthanize. We arrange suitable housing on an individual basis. Most often, these cats live full, healthy, normal lives. We would be pleased to offer additional information and to share our experiences with these special felines (most of these experiences have been of a positive nature) and would also direct you to our FAQs for more information.

Coco,
Thats a nice story. There are a lot of animal lovers here on this forum; So we all understand the love and loss of a pet. None ever take the place of one who goes to Rainbow Bridge but they ease it somehow that we cope. Thanks for sharing your story. That too is something that is needed to beat out problems.
