....Well Lare; if I may call you that ; You never did tell me HOW LONG with the stew..... No matter; being the decent cook that I am I "winged it" w/o the feathers... Gotta tell you....we enjoyed it; matter of fact hubby (Dave) told me to pass along a "thumbs up.!" I made herb potatoes and a tossed salad....had I more time today I'd have made Bobbi's biscuits (I think it's her recipe) I did cut back a tad on the amount of spices (and no coriander) but it was GREAat and a recipe KEEPER. What I was really pleased about was the fact that the carrots etc weren't "mushy" It'll definitely go in my recipe box.... Merci beaucoup monsieur!

Glad you liked it, I cook on low for 7-8 hours. Now you know why my Granddaughter Samantha loves my cooking I find a slow cooker on low cooks well without mushy vegetables.

It was good enough that I shared it with my senior friend today who uses her slow cooker a LOT (less power = less $).
