I just want to extend my sincere wishes to you both. Sue - you are one of the warmest, most sincere, and open ladies I have ever "met". Hope you and your guy get to enjoy this special occasion. And I definitely see 40 (41, 42, 43, 44...) in the future. Thanks for all you do to make this forum so inviting.

Sue, wishing both of you a HAPPY ANIVERSARY, and may you have many many more. Now I second Jackies idea of a movie and cuddle on the couch. Break out the popcorn and chips and a good action film, don't forget to light some candles too. Have a good one.

Hi Sue, Here is a wish for a very happy anniversary from Gwen and I. One of the truly wonderful things about a good marriage is that as we change, so can our love grow deeper and more meaningful. Just keep going - you still have a ways to go to catch up with Gwen and I ;D Hugs from both of us

I just noticed these and apologize for not responding yesterday.. We had a wonderful day and night. Mert is usually quite the hermit, as we all know, but once he felt he had the fire burning good in the wood furnace he came upstairs and we spend quite a bit of time together talking. No movies or popcorn though, . Lots of reminiscing and planning for the future, which included where will we move to when we win the lottery, hahaha. I have to say this man is just the most fun and sweetest guy I've ever met and I am so very glad God brought us together. It was a blind date, mind you, and I swore I'd never go out with him again after that first night. But he wore me down and had a ring on my finger within 3 mos. and we were married a little over a year later. We were such opposites and came from way different backgrounds and nobody thought we'd last. Ha Ha to them! Our kids never heard loud voices shouting at each other or saw plates flying through the air. Heck, it wasn't perfect but as close to it as you can get without being sickening sweet. I know there's not another man on this earth who would have put up with my quirkiness and I'm pretty sure the other side of the coin goes with his strange habits - the hermit life for one. But he never kept me home, I was free to go and do the things I wanted to do. The secret to a good marriage is definitely respect for each other, patience, laughter, sharing your dreams, and if you're blessed with children all the better. I've even had both of my children come to me as adults and thank me for the way they were raised. You can't be more happy with the way your life has turned out when something like that happens... So, thanks again and I sure hope you are being loved the way that I am, either by a spouse, a companion, a child, a friend/friends. It fills your heart and soul.
