Chris: So glad to hear you are feeling OK. I forgot to ask what hospital you are in but whichever one it is, I hope it is very comfortable. It looks like you have access to some device, in any event, so maybe you can use this time to rest and explore new places on the web - or whatever you like to do.

Good news to wake up to! So glad things are looking good, but just let things take their course and relax and enjoy the pampering. I didn't know you could pass out from an infection, but I'm sure they know what they are doing. Gwen, you are such a sweet wife, I would be exactly the same as you. I worry when Mert takes an ibuprofen as he rarely does,  . You have a much bigger plate on your table so don't feel bad about worrying. Love and prayers for both of you!  Sue  kI am bringing this over from Gwen's post last night at the Fence.. Well folks, another loong day on the Island but Chris seems to be doing well. They still have nothing concrete to offer except the heart monitor looks good so that is one worry off the plate. They have sent cultures and blood samples to the main lab in Victoria but of course this being a long weekend here they are not expecting results back quickly!! They think they may be able to let him out on Tuesday when his IV anti's are done so that would be really nice. Glad to hear Peter is being well taken care of and thanks to Jackie for checking up on him. Once again, pretty tired folks so going to bed soon! Gwen |

My apologies for not posting before, but they discharged me on Tuesday. I seem to be doing just fine but I am definitely coughing up more, but still on Biaxin XL (clarithromycin) as I usually am for any exacerbation.
Anyway good to be home, but Gwen is just wiped - the stress for the caregiver is worse than for the patient!
