By now you saw the post Peter put up in chat today. (He's on my Buddy list) I also had received a PM from him. I spoke with him, I spoke with his neighbour, I spoke again with him (Peter)thereafter. I was also aware that his lunch was going to be brought in shortly and that he would be checked by the Home Care folks at that time. Someone arrived during our second conversation so we parted. I called Peter again about an hour later. No answer. I then called his neighbour again. I was advised that Peter was taken by ambulance to the hospital. When I talked with him his SP02 was fine........ while sitting. It was dropping into the low 80 range when he would get up and move. I also noted that he had a very deep chest cough when I was talking with him and, as you know, Peter had mentioned the other day that he seemed to have a cold or flu and that he was about to start Tamiflu. Anyway..... I've now put in a call to his stepdaughter to see if there's any info. No answer but I left a message. In all honesty; I'm concerned for him..... So; would you please say a prayer for Peter, and/or send positive healing thoughts. I KNOW that he would sure appreciate it. If I hear anything tonight I'll post; (there's 4 hours time difference between us) and if I don't; I'll make a few calls again tomorrow and let you know....

Special Prayers for Peter tonight. Hope he is doing better. We sure are having our ups and downs with this family lately aren't we?
Chris was doing a bit better today and he is now on two IV anti's. They still have not traced the cause but are pretty sure it is some kind of infection "somewhere in his body"!! Apparently this is what sent his BP rocketing down into his boots. Was pretty scarey last night. We were also concerned that his white blood cell count was way up but that seems to be closer to normal today. The kids came up from Victoria this afternoon to check him out for themselves and our son send a video back to his sister in Ottawa of her Mom and Dad smiling. Modern technology is a wonderful thing!!
Thank you all so much for your prayers, good wishes and support. All of us here know how much that means. Well this lady got about two hours of sleep last night so I think it will be a "bare necessities" evening and then hunker down. Blessings and hugs. Gwen

Well; I had to wait for a reasonable hour/time to make a couple calls...
I will relay "briefly" what I know; which is limited.
Peter's still in the "overflow" of the ER dept at his hospital. Remember though last time I think he was there for several days at least. They did tsf me to his room; an aid (or nurse) checked to see if he wanted/could talk.... he was asleep. Anyway; I'm not "family" per se so they couldn't share info other than the fact that he's had trouble breathing.
I then called his Step Daughter Katrina. She was on her way into the hospital. According to her it was "iffy" through the night.(not my words) We talked about several other things as well...
She did get my messages (y'day) and I expressed our concern for Peter; (and about our family here and his importance to us), gave her my e address again and asked her to let him (Peter) know that we're checking on him and wanting him to get over this and get to well and requested she send me an e update when she could.
She said she would.....
I wish I had more to tell you more at this point; I can't.... but when I hear something I'll pass it on.
Please hold him close; as I know you will....

Thank you, Blossom. I am sorry to hear that Peter is once again held up in the holding room. At least he is able to get some sleep. I hope the cots there are better than the ones in our ER. I hope you hear from his daughter tomorrow and she has good news. I have a feeling this is going to be a rough one for him, though. God bless you, Peter...thinking and praying for your recovery. Sue

Well; I got to actually speak with our fine coffee brewer today! He's finally been admitted; I only spoke with him for a minute; then I spoke with his step daughter; she was there visiting when I called the 2nd time.
I say the 2md time because when I called the 1st time; he was having a breathing treatment.
I have to tell you.... the hospital that he's in has been/is most accommodating. (They were the last time too)There's no phone in his room but they have a "portable phone that they "walk in" to a patient which is frankly very kind.
We only spoke for a moment; but; he certainly sounded a LOT better than when we talked the day he went in!
He told me they believe he has pneumonia. That wouldn't surprise me at all. The good thing though is that he did sound soooo darn much better!
I told him of your concern and love and looking forward to having him get well and come home soon.... and; we love him!
So; good Lord willing our friend is on the road to healing...... I'll check on him in another 2 days if I've not heard anything further. Meanwhile..... please continue to keep him in your heart.....
