In the next week or so, we will be upgrading to a new version 5 . Pro Boards has informed us that we will all need to log in to the new site ,so it is imperative that you have your correct user name & password available. Please remember; we do not have access to your password so PLEASE make sure you know what it is, and know your log in name.To ease your minds, the new board will look very, very similar and have many features we have now, plus some new ones . As far as we can tell there won't be any big surprises and everyone can get comfortable with the new features as time goes on. John ,Bobbi, Sandy, Sue NY, Deborah,as well as myself will be doing our best to make the transition as smooth as possible. The tentative date is sometime around the 29Th of April, give or take a few days either way . On the day of the change you will see a new" log in page" . Just log in as you normally would, look around a bit & if you wish go to over the back yard fence and say " ," Peter's coffee will be ready. If you have any questions, please ask! We'll do our best to answer them. Take Care from your Administrators; Jackie, John and Bobbi Your Moderators; Sue NY,Sandy and Deborah

Wellllll guys.... Come on.... are you getting excited??? I am! It'll pretty much look like it does now..... just some newer features and some coding that we've added before that will have to be done again on our end..... and some other little things I think you're gonna really like once you explore!

Me too! I think that the new site will be easy to use and allow us lots of flexibility. There will be some adjustments for sure but I have every confidence we will all adjust, even though we might grumble a bit here and there.
Onwards!
Deborah

Don't forget we're all old dogs here. Let's prove that you can teach us new tricks! I am getting excited, too. Time's flying by and it won't be long now!

I'm sure that the transition will be smooth and we are all able to find our way easily. Thank you all for all the work you are doing with the 'behind the scenes' jobs for us.

Looks good to me. Doesn't seem much different. Like Deborah said we'll grumble for a while but it will all work out. The newcomers won't even know there's been a change after all.

Hey Al; It's called no choice. Pro Boards (the owners of these Free Boards) gets to dictate. And rightly so. We could opt out till the end of the year but; it's going to happen regardless. The admins and moderators here have had an opportunity to check out and get a feel (test drive).... They're ready to get it done! I think they're (ProBoards) is also trying to tie in a bit more social media (and ads that go with it all ) and the ability to post from different apps etc . More functions. You won't see a tremendous difference (visually) when the forum gets switched, but the features/functions will be expanded on a bit. No biggie.... We'll all learn together! And; let's face it..... we have to keep up with the times. Heck; if we didn't we'd still be riding only horse and buggy as our main means of transportation! Anyway; it sounds like the Old/New Al is ready! That's great!
