Elizabeth raised the question about the old "recent threads" button, and I indicated that I also missed the "new posts" button. Peter pointed out the following in yesterday's discussion At the Fence: Deborah "new topics" button Is Now "Recent Threads".
You can find the button at the bottom of the Home page, under Forum users and statistics. Hope this is helpful!
(PS: I'm starting a specific thread as the Q&As is starting to get a bit long...)
