I saw that this morning as well and I have to say I think that it's great news for Lung Tx folks.... especially the life expectancy ratio in the first year at the very least.

Jackie I would think a 30% increase in survival is huge !

Thanks John this is a great article.
That is a pretty great percentage in survival rate if you ask me.
I believe that I touched upon this issue in my transplant journey as well as another from the other forum needing the children's lungs because of size.
I believe that it opens the door to many more people getting their lungs sooner.

Thank you so much for posting this, John. The way I understood it, it was only one study, so I'm sure more will be required before this is available to all TX patients. One more thing I will be discussing with the team when I have I the assessment in Sept.
