Dan I quit smoking 2 and 1/2 years ago it isn't easy I think it was like at least the 20th time I have quit. I still want to smoke but after I read Allen Carr's how to quit smoking I go back and read it when I am tempted and it stops me. They say quiting nicotine is worse than the heroin habit. Just keep trying and one day it will happen, never give up on it even if it is only I won't have a smoke for 1 more minute. Good luck you will find lots of kind understanding people here.

Hi Dan, Welcome to the group.
I quit smoking 9 years ago. Tied many many time. Chantix finally worked for me. I didn't give up. Took me 5 months with Chantix. Chantix took that urge to smoke away. I was ok as long as I took Chantix. If I had tried harder I probably could have quit sooner than I did on Chantix.
