I've never heard of it, so I did a Google search and it was approved in Canada on December 23, 2013, for the long-term once-daily maintenance bronchodilator
I don't think it is approved in Australia yet, but next time I see my doctor I'll ask him about it.

My doctor gave me a few samples of Anoro. I have been using it for a week now. I think I have been less short of breath. She told me to stop the spivira and symbicort now. Its nice to use only one medication just once per day. But I will have to wait and see how I do without the symbicort. No steriods would be nice. I will keep you posted.

I'll be really interested to know how it works and especially Pippy if you give it a try as well. From reading Zellie's earlier posts and where she is re: COPD, and where (approx) you are (Pippy) with COPD, I would love to compare/see the differences. Please keep us informed e'one about this med. I know that others are very curious as well.

Update on Anoro Ellipta. I had to go back to symbicort and spivria today. After two weeks use, I was becoming more short of breath and my ankles had started to swell. It seemed good for the first week but after that it didn't seem to benefit me at all. I am in the very severe stage perhaps it will work for someone else so don't be afraid to try out some samples if you get the chance.

Zellie..... what was causing your ankles to swell with using the drug; or do you know?

Not sure what caused the swelling. I just know that my breathing was getting worse and noticed some swelling. Maybe it was because I had stopped the symbicort and I was getting more inflammation. This illness is a mystery to me as to why some days are worse than others.
